Telcables hosts executive breakfast presenting its Africa Digital Bridge infrastructure

At an executive breakfast hosted by

Telcables, the international connectivity division of Angola Cables, company leaders provided insights into their existing Africa Digital Bridge infrastructure that continues to strengthen the continent’ s position in global digital networks.
The session highlighted how Telcables’ established undersea cable systems, including the South Atlantic Cable System, SACS, West Africa Cable System, WACS, and Monet cable – collectively form a robust digital bridge connecting Africa to key global markets. These assets provide multiple
Sudhir Juggernath alternative pathways for data traffic between Africa, Europe, and the Americas, ensuring reliable connectivity even during disruptions on traditional routes.
Sudhir Juggernath, CEO of Telcables SA, said that the Africa Digital Bridge is not a future project but is operational infrastructure delivering results today.“ With SACS providing direct connectivity to South America, WACS maintaining our European links, and the Monet cable enhancing US connections, we have built a resilient network serving both African and international traffic demands,” he said.
Recent performance metrics demonstrate the system’ s capabilities, with combined capacity across all cable systems now exceeding 12 terabits. The SACS route between Africa and US achieves latency as low as 160 milliseconds, while the network has successfully rerouted traffic during recent cable breaks elsewhere. The infrastructure also features direct links with major global cloud providers.
The briefing detailed Angola Cables’ operations spanning five countries across seven cities, supported by 200 telecommunications specialists. This multinational presence delivers secure, high-speed connectivity to dozens of nations through its transatlantic cable infrastructure.
As digital demands grow across Africa, Telcables continues expanding its network capabilities, with recent investments in data centre infrastructure and metro networks reinforcing the Africa Digital Bridge’ s capacity to handle increasing traffic volumes while maintaining reliability.
Telcables, the international connectivity division of Angola Cables, operates one of Africa’ s most advanced digital infrastructure networks.
