Digital Realty announced that Mozambique Internet Exchange, MOZIX has launched a new point of presence at Digital Realty’ s Maputo One, MPM1 data centre. MOZIX’ s deployment at MPM1 marks a significant milestone in Mozambique’ s digital transformation journey. As the country’ s only Internet Exchange Point, IXP, MOZIX plays a vital role in keeping local Internet traffic within national borders, reducing latency, improving user experience.
Standard Chartered announced opening of its new representative office in Morocco, expanding its footprint across the North Africa region. The launch follows the licence approval from Bank Al- Maghrib and the award of the Casablanca Finance City status by the Casablanca Finance City Authority. The office will be led by Cynthia El Asmar, who has been appointed CEO and Head of Coverage for Morrocco.
