dDescribe your current job role and a summary of the business model of your organisation?

Lerato Thwane is the business unit lead for E-Commerce Digital Platforms at Mettus. Mettus is a provider in the fast-growing and in-demand data, analytics and technology services market, delivering insights and solutions. Mettus is home to South African brands: Managed Integrity Evaluation, Xpert Decision Systems, and Tesserai. Their specialties include credit bureau services, background screening and vetting, data engineering and platform development, business intelligence and analytics, and consulting services.
The e-commerce digital platforms are a channel for the direct to consumer business with services that run across the Mettus service range.
What are your strengths and abilities that you bring to the above role?
Thwane’ s background is in accounting, financial planning, and development finance. She is an accomplished business executive and strategic leader with over 15 years of public and private sector experience, and holds a Masters in Development Finance. Her public service work helped her appreciate the vastness of societal challenges and to realise that
they are not solely a government responsibility. This amplified her desire to be part of the solution.
As a former Chief Financial Officer, she is experienced in financial management, reporting, audit management, financial analysis, budget management, investments, borrowing, risk management and strategic management. She brings to Mettus her knowledge of productivity tools, attention to detail and fact-based decision-making.
Her strengths are in resource optimisation, financial analysis, risk management, product management, relationship management, business development and Innovation.
Please describe the expectations of the end customers that you address. What are their pain points today?
Financial and credit wellness platform customers expect personalised insights and guidance tailored to their unique financial situation. Customers look for actionable recommendations to improve credit scores, manage debt, and build savings.
Education is also a key expectation, with users wanting clear, jargon-free explanations of financial concepts. Credit monitoring and score improvement features
