Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Global Council for Investment and Business for Africa( GCIB) and Afro Mobile SARL, a telecommunications and digital infrastructure company incorporated in Côte d’ Ivoire.
Under the agreement, the three organisations have established a strategic partnership framework to identify, structure, finance, develop, implement and operate telecommunications and digital infrastructure projects across Africa.
The framework covers national fibre-optic backbone networks, 4G and 5G mobile infrastructure, international connectivity, including submarine cable landing stations and internet exchange points, telecommunications towers and passive infrastructure.
It will also encompass digital public infrastructure, including digital identity, national interoperability, e-government and digital payment platforms, as well as satellite connectivity through VSAT and Low Earth Orbit services for remote areas and emergency communications.
Blue Cloud will serve as Lead Technology and Digital Transformation Partner, with responsibility for technology solution design and deployment, platform architecture, systems integration and technology transfer. The company will also lead technical coordination, financial structuring and financing coordination for projects developed under the framework.
CÔTE D’ IVOIRE
South Korea has approved a $ 170 million Economic Development Cooperation Fund( EDCF) loan to support the establishment of an AI and digital technology training institute in Tanzania.
The project was approved by the 159th EDCF Management Committee, chaired by South Korea’ s Minister of Finance and Economy, alongside amendments to regulations governing the operation and management of the fund.
The planned institute will offer four programmes covering artificial intelligence, robotics, data analytics and the Internet of Things( IoT), with a focus on developing skilled professionals to support Tanzania’ s expanding AI and digital technology sectors.
The project will include the construction of educational facilities and a campus, alongside the deployment of AI training and practical learning equipment. Planned facilities and technologies include AI laboratories, IoT devices, robotics equipment, drones and 3D printers.
Funding will also cover ICT and network infrastructure, curriculum development and support for the operation and maintenance of the institute.
Korean AI technologies and education models will be incorporated into the development of AI laboratories and highperformance training facilities. South Korean expertise will also support institutional operations and capacity development for education personnel.
