Development as one of its corporate
social investment projects of choice.
Based in Kayamandi, a suburb of
Stellenbosch in the Western Cape, Legacy
Community Development plays a critical
role in its community and runs several
initiatives including an afterschool centre,
a childhood development programme, a
primary school development programme, a
teenage outreach programme, a learnership
programme for Grade 11 students and a
career guidance initiative.
“What started from humble beginnings in
2001 has grown into a cornerstone of the
Kayamandi community, said Louise Fourie,
MD of Legacy Community Development.
“We are passionate about building our
community and providing children as well
as adults with the support they need. A
core focus of many of our programmes is
to provide people with the skills to become
employable in a digital society.”
Henning Lange, CIO at Elingo, added: “As a
provider of world-class ICT solutions tailored
with best practice local knowledge and
expertise, Elingo values and praises the work
done by Legacy Community Development.
Its 360-degree approach towards the
wellness development of children, teenagers
and adults reflect our own approach when it
comes to solutions development,” he said.
Meanwhile, Elingo had a gold sponsorship at
the recent G-Summit Johannesburg 2018,
the flagship African digital transformation
event for all Genesys customers and partners
in South East Africa. The event was held at

reshworks Inc, a leading provider of
cloud-based business software, has
announced an aggressive growth strategy
to propel the ambitious expansion of its
evolving South African footprint.
“Our growth plan for South Africa
completely leverages the company’s
product strengths, financial capabilities
and technology innovation to drive
industry-leading returns,” said Arihant
Jain, Business Head, Middle East &
Africa, Freshworks.
Currently, Freshworks serves select
customers such as Berkshire Hathaway,
DHL, Naspers, Hi-Sense, Web Africa and
partners like Teleforge, Freshtech Africa
and Stridesmart in South Africa but this
base is expected to grow exponentially
with the company’s new growth strategy
for emerging markets such as this.
As part of this growth plan, the
company is inclined to make accelerated
investments in hosting tailored customer
events, marketing meets and roundtable
conferences to build its network of brand
loyalists in the region.
“The South African market expansion
requires keen assessment and dedicated
planning,” added Jain.
“Expanding in this region is an important
way to magnify the size of the market
we serve, and in an increasingly globally
competitive marketplace, a necessary
step for us.
“Our aim is to build rich, meaningful
engagement with enterprises of all sizes
that are looking for new cutting-edge
solutions to power their customer and
employee experiences.”
