EDITOR’S
NOTE
Welcome to the latest edition of
Intelligent CIO Africa and my
last as Editor. After six months I
am moving on to edit two new magazines
for the North America and APAC regions
which are being launched as part of the everexpanding
Lynchpin Media stable.
I will be extremely sorry to leave the region
and I would like to thank everybody who
sent me messages of support when the news
was announced.
I have gotten to know many of you
extremely well and I’d like to thank you for
your support during this time.
It’s been heartening to see the magazine
progress especially as we have got to know
more and more of you.
The good news is we have a great
replacement coming in. Manda Banda will
be a familiar face to many of you. He has
extensive experience in the sector and will
be delighted to hear from you at manda@
lynchpinmedia.co.uk.
Please feel free to email him and either
renew acquaintances or introduce yourself.
I’ve every confidence that Manda will take
the magazine to ever greater heights – even
in these challenging times when the world
is (hopefully) making progress in the battle
against Coronavirus.
It’s safe to say that life looks very different
to the way it did when I started on the
magazine. Then no-one was talking about
wearing face masks and remote working.
But if there has been one silver lining to the
current crisis it is that it has aptly illustrated
how technology can lead the way through
unchartered waters.
With many people unable to physically go
into their place of work, remote working
has taken the world by storm. We have all
had to adapt our working practices over this
period. The amazing thing is we have all
found better ways of working thanks to the
technology that can all too easily be taken
for granted.
One thing is for certain – as we ease our way
out of the pandemic, we will retain many of
these new practices.
As usual, we have all your favourite features
and a comprehensive news round-up from
across the region. You can also read daily
news updates on our website at
www.intelligentcio.com/africa/.
For the last time, I’d like to wish you a good
month ahead and please enjoy the read!
