Hewlett Packard Enterprise completes acquisition of Zerto

Hewlett Packard Enterprise ( HPE ) has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Zerto , a cloud data management and protection solutions company with a net cash purchase price at closing of US $ 374 million .

The acquisition immediately positions the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform in the high-growth data protection market with a proven solution and further propels HPE ’ s storage business into a cloud-native , software-defined data services business .

Zerto ’ s cloud data management and protection software will remain available as a standalone service and will be available as a service through the HPE GreenLake platform and the Data Services Cloud Console .

Sitecore acquires AI-powered digital search platform Reflektion

Sitecore , a digital experience management software vendor , has announced the acquisition of San Mateo-based Reflektion , an AI-powered digital search platform that understands and predicts patterns , context and needs in order to convert shoppers into buyers . The combination of Sitecore and Reflektion enables Sitecore to engage , educate and empower shoppers to make purchase decisions faster .

The acquisition – a continuation of Sitecore ’ s on-going US $ 1.2 billion growth plan – will help marketers solve the information overload that is characteristic of traditional search solutions , which leave customers unable to find and select the right product .
