African Union partners with APO Group to rebrand and re-position Africa at Expo 2020 Dubai

The African Union ( AU ) has announced a partnership with the APO Group , a pan- African communications agency and press release distribution service , to re-brand and re-position Africa to the world at the Expo 2020 Dubai , to be held from October 2021 to March 2022 .

“ We have invited APO Group to become our Official Strategic Public Relations Partner to showcase Africa ’ s vast potential at Expo 2020 Dubai , this partnership is key to our fulfilling our objectives to exhibit the continent as this is the first time in the 170-year history of World Expos , every country in Africa will participate with its own pavilions ,” said Dr Madueke , Levi Uche , Head , AU Strategic Partnerships Office and Commissioner General for AU ’ s participation at Expo 2020 Dubai .
“ At APO Group , we truly believe it is our responsibility to challenge the negative narrative about Africa on the world stage ,” said Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard , Founder and Chairman , APO Group . “ It is in our DNA and it influences all the work that we do . The African Union Commission has asked us to help them make the most of

Tonny Tugee to leave SEACOM Group

During his tenure with SEACOM , Tugee has been instrumental in steering SEACOM ’ s growth in East Africa , which remains one of the organisation ’ s key markets . By leading a team of experienced ICT professionals , the regional team in Kenya has delivered high quality and affordable Internet bandwidth into dynamic and everexpanding markets .

Tonny Tugee , Regional Managing Director , East and North-East Africa , SEACOM Group is stepping down

SEACOM Group has announced that its regional managing director for East and North-East Africa , Tonny Tugee , has resigned . Tugee joined SEACOM from Safaricom in 2017 as head of sales and was later appointed to the position of regional managing director .
