Trade enabler , DP World , recently announced the launch of its global wholesale e-commerce platform DUBUY . com in Kenya . This latest expansion of DUBUY . com follows its successful launch in Rwanda earlier this year , where the platform has become a major gateway for trade in the East Africa region . DUBUY . com is an innovative online marketplace that will help unlock access to global markets for Kenyan businesses , with fulfilment through DP World ’ s worldwide ports and logistics network .

MainOne , West Africa ’ s leading connectivity and data centre solutions provider , has upgraded Ivorian ISP , VIPNET ’ s capacity from 155Mbps to 1Gbps . VIPNET is a telecommunications operator that provides connectivity services and technology integration solutions through the national broadband coverage . Over the years , VIPNET has positioned itself as one of the major Internet providers in Côte d ’ Ivoire .

ZIMBABWE
Cassava Smartech Zimbabwe , trading as EcoCash Holdings Zimbabwe Limited , together with its long-term technology partner Comviva has won two silver awards at this year ’ s Emerging Payments Awards . Cassava Smartech and Comviva won the silver for the Green financial inclusion initiative by mobile money platform EcoCash in the “ Best Direct Account to Account Solution ” and “ Most Innovative Mobile or Financial Service Payments Solution ” category .

MOROCCO
Oracle and Orange have announced that they have signed a collaboration agreement as part of a joint plan to accelerate cloud-led Digital Transformation in West Africa . Under the agreement , the two companies will assess plans to build Oracle Cloud regions using Orange ’ s infrastructure in Senegal and Ivory Coast . This aligns with a common objective of ensuring that all customer data is hosted locally , providing customers with cloud services that meet their data latency and performance requirements .
