Coca-Cola Africa Operating Unit ( AOU ) and its bottling partners has launched JAMII , the new Africa-focused sustainability platform . The platform houses the company ’ s existing and new sustainability initiatives . Through this signature platform , Coca-Cola hopes to attract like-minded partners to help accelerate on-the-ground impact of its sustainability initiatives on the African continent .

The Tony Elumelu Foundation ( TEF ), a leading philanthropy empowering young African entrepreneurs across all 54 African countries , has opened applications for the 2022 TEF Entrepreneurship Programme on www . TEFConnect . com . African entrepreneurs with business ideas or existing businesses under five years , are encouraged to apply now for US $ 5000 seed capital , mentorship , business management training and more on the 2022 Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme .

ZAMBIA
International cash payments platform Pipit Global and pan-African payments company Cellulant have extended their partnership agreement to now include 18 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa . The partnership will see the companies providing both B2B and B2C payments services to existing and emergent financial institutions , e-commerce merchants , billers and billing platforms , mobile money providers and eWallets , digital financial service providers , and their customers .
Cellulant , a Pan-African payments company , has partnered with one of Zambia ’ s leading fish distributors , Lake Harvest to enable mobile payments in all their outlets through the Tingg one-stop digital payment platform . Lake Harvest highlighted that this was necessitated by demand from its customers who kept requesting easier ways to pay for goods that didn ’ t involve the hassle of withdrawing cash from their mobile money network .

IVORY COAST
The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group has approved a US $ 1.5 million grant to assess policy gaps in the digital trade and e-commerce ecosystems in 10 countries in Africa . The funds , sourced from the African Development Fund , the bank ’ s concessional window , will go to the Smart Africa Alliance , an alliance of 32 African countries , international organisations and global corporations with a vision to create a single digital market in Africa by 2030 .
