Pitch AgriHack identifies innovative youth-led businesses with technological solutions to food security challenges , awarding the most impactful businesses with cash grants , media visibility and investor exposure .

ZAMBIA
Cellulant Zambia has announced a digital payment partnership with five leading Zambian water utility companies namely Nkana Water , Kafubu Water , Mulonga Water , Chambeshi Water and Western Water . The partnership will allow customers in the Copperbelt Province to conveniently pay their water bills with their preferred mobile money and selected bank accounts ( Standard Chartered Bank , Zambia National Building Society and Natsave ). With the partnership , customers will be able to pay for their water bills through Tingg .

NIGERIA
Africa Data Centres , part of the Cassava Technologies Group , a pan-African technology group , has announced it ’ s building a second data centre in Cape Town , South Africa . The new 20MW facility will cover 15,000 square meters in eight data halls and is situated on the northern periphery of Cape Town city centre . South Africa remains the largest data centre market on the continent , with a thriving data centre industry , and has been ranked number 25 globally by Cloudscene based on data centre density .
Rack Centre , an Actis majority owned data centre and carrierneutral Tier III data centre in West Africa , has become the first International Finance Corporation ( IFC ) EDGE certified data centre in Europe , Middle East and Africa .
This prestigious green building certification recognises the significant savings the centre will achieve in energy and water use , incorporated as part of the design to expand the facility ’ s IT load from 1.5MW to 13MW . On completion of this expansion , Rack Centre is forecast to achieve 35 % energy savings .

IVORY COAST
Orange Santé a healthcare platform developed in partnership with DabaDoc , a Moroccan start-up in which Orange has invested , has launched Orange Healthcare , a platform dedicated to the health ecosystem in Ivory Coast and the broader African continent . The new platform provides access to several services such as online appointment booking , payment for remote consultations by the diaspora , digitised medical records and teleconsultations .
