Banque Misr ensures banking Business Continuity and digital employee engagement

Supporting Egypt Vision 2030 ’ s diversified economic growth , banking sector job creation and Business Continuity , Banque Misr has implemented an organisation-wide Digital Transformation , starting with its talent management .
Banque Misr has worked with channel partner Arete Global FZ LLC , who handled implementation to go live on the cloud-based SAP SuccessFactors ’ modules on performance and goals . Now , Banque Misr has full and real-time visibility on talent and employee performance for more than 20,000 employees across 800 branches .
Additionally , Banque Misr has won the Largest HXM Transformation award at the recently held SAP HXM Elite Club Award and was one of 21 organisations across the Middle East and North Africa to receive this prestigious award for its successful implementation of SAP SuccessFactors solutions .
Banque Misr , one of Egypt ’ s largest banks , has announced a Digital Transformation partnership with global technology company SAP in support of Egypt Vision 2030 , for Business Continuity and employee engagement during and post-COVID-19 .
With many employees working remotely due to COVID-19 , Banque Misr is showing best practices in leveraging these digital solutions to maintain Business Continuity and to enhance employee engagement .
Rohde & Schwarz opens software development lab in Rwanda
Rohde & Schwarz has officially opened its new software development lab in Rwanda .
This is the first research and development initiative on the African continent for the company that develops , produces and markets innovative information and communications technology products for professional users .
The software lab in the Rwandan capital of Kigali is both the Munich based company ’ s first subsidiary in Central Africa and also its first R & D location anywhere on the continent .
Peter Riedel , President and COO of Rohde & Schwarz , said : “ Africa is an enormous growth market and Rwanda is a trailblazer in digitalisation .
“ Rohde & Schwarz is making a long-term commitment for sustainable growth and stability . We want to develop products for the global market together with our team in Rwanda .”
In the spirit of the Rohde & Schwarz subsidiary in Singapore , which has grown into a major Asian hub over the past 25 years , the company will be continuously expanding the new lab in Kigali . The next steps will include activities in the area of cybersecurity and the support of local students and engineers .
The official opening ceremony , which was postponed because of COVID-19 restrictions , underscored the importance of this project .
