The study revealed that the global cybersecurity workforce is at an all-time high , with an estimated 4.7 million professionals . Despite adding 464,000 more cybersecurity professionals this year , the data revealed that 3.4 million more cybersecurity workers are needed to secure assets effectively .

Gracing the cover of this month ’ s edition is Eduardo Cid de Morais , IT Systems Manager , Vodacom Mozambique , who explains how the company is keeping the country connected following a cloud infrastructure upgrade with VMware Clouds .

Among the many insights , Morais shares that : “ Virtualisation , therefore , brings with it a level of control and failover which we did not have previously . Moving away from a physical environment makes more sense , especially for mission-critical systems like IT and telecommunications . So , we decided to transition to the virtualised infrastructure of VMware .
