EDITOR ’ S QUESTION
BIJU UNNI , VICE PRESIDENT , CLOUD BOX TECHNOLOGIES
We expect 2023 to continue and expand on the trends prevailing in the latter half of 2022 . This has mainly to do with security and
Digital Transformation .

While it is important for organisations to be able to meet their skill set needs , on the technology partnership front , CIOs would need to carve out new relationships with resilient brands and sync their focus areas with their vision and market objectives . This creates synergy and interest within the brand and contributes to a positive conclusion on the project . It is also important that technology partnerships are chosen with care and have a holistic understanding of customer requirements .

There was a lot of hype with regards to Big Data , AI becoming more visible and vital during 2022 and shaping the way forward . However , it did not happen anywhere near expectations . Possibly , 2023 could be different , but we do see that nobody is holding their breath . We expect 2023 to continue and expand on the trends prevailing in the latter half of 2022 . This has mainly to do with security and Digital Transformation . Cloud will continue to prosper and the majors like Amazon , Microsoft and Google will be adding and streamlining more services continuously altering the cloud makeup . AI along with Robotics and Machine Learning will definitely have space and traction without becoming a critical trend .
That being the case , and at the risk of sounding like a broken record , security is a very keen ask from most organisations . Security brands are a rapidly evolving group and AI and Machine Learning is already present in security solutions . The consistent shifts in these domains ( AI & Machine Learning L ) ensures that keen attention is given by the solution providers .
Security concerns will be a factor for the foreseeable future . Remote working as far as the Middle East market is concerned is not as common as one might think because the rebound to normal times is gathering momentum .
From our own perspective 2021 and 2022 were growth years and we expect the same moving forward . However , to continue achieving growth , skills sets need to be current and enhancement activities on knowledge base are very vital for any organisations . Opportunities would abound but we should have the right tools and resources to capitalise on them , so optimisation is very important .
