Performance expectations
The solution Metacom was looking for , had to be built from the ground up with scalability at its core , which Metacom felt it could get from a hyperconverged infrastructure and wanted a solution that could deliver hyper-scalability . Nutanix ’ s blueprint is based on hyper-scalability , unlike other OEM vendors who must marry multiple components to achieve it .

The level and speed of scalability Metacom could achieve with Nutanix is why it migrated from the virtualisation OEM vendor to Nutanix .
As a managed service provider that also produces and deploys its own hardware routers to ensure effective delivery of its SD-WAN , POS , multi-media , and Wi-Fi services , Metacom has implemented Nutanix solutions to meet its needs of robust , secure , uninterrupted access to its network .
Metacom is using Prism Elements and Prism Central for a granular view of its environment . From memory in a node down to a physical interface and the traffic traversing the environment . The system ’ s ability to map VM usage and alert the team when it is reaching capacity allows it to plan growth better , avoid capacity bottoming , and prepare for capacity upgrades to a cluster .
The new environment has also provided Metacom with the growth capabilities it needed , as adding another node is seamless and allows it to scale seamlessly and easily .

Metacom is now using Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform with Prism Central and Prism Elements for oversight and management of its hyperconverged virtualisation environment . This includes visibility into its Nutanix Acropolis deployment . To move its 100 + systems in its existing legacy environment onto the Nutanix platform , the company used Nutanix Move .
Post implementation
Metacom deployed the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud hyper-scalability solution to match the demands of its growing business . Drawing from the Nutanix suite , the company has been able to replace ageing infrastructure , gain visibility across client sites and geographies , and put itself in a position to scale up client requests in days .
