Abu Dhabi based Presight signs MoU with Gambia ’ s Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy

Presight , the region ’ s big data analytics powered by Generative AI company , has signed a Memorandum of Understanding , MoU with Gambia ’ s Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy , MOCDE during Gitex Africa 2024 .

Tasked with building and maintaining Gambia ’ s national communications infrastructure , the MOCDE plays a pivotal role in supporting the country ’ s overall national development . As part of the agreement between Presight and MOCDE , the two entities will embark on a two phased comprehensive collaboration to enhance digital services and cybersecurity measures across Gambia .
Under the agreement , the first phase will focus on the development of digital government services and a national digital identity initiative , both of which are crucial for improving public service delivery and ensuring secure , streamlined access to government resources . Additionally , Presight will support the establishment of a national data centre , which will serve as the backbone for the country ’ s digital initiatives .
The second phase of the collaboration will see the establishment of a national safety operations centre , designed to safeguard Gambia ’ s digital infrastructure against potential threats . Alongside this , the creation of a Digital Supply Chain Security Lab will ensure the integrity and security of digital transactions and communications , fostering a safe digital environment for businesses and citizens alike .
