NetApp elevates José Manuel Petisco to VP for Africa , Eastern Europe , Middle East , Spain , Portugal , Latin America

NetApp , announced appointment of José

Manuel Petisco as new VP for the EEMI region , which includes Eastern Europe , Middle East and Africa , Spain , Portugal , and Latin America . Petisco , with over 30 years of experience in the information technology sector , takes on this new responsibility after serving as the General Manager of NetApp Iberia since 2022 , and previously as the Cloud Director of NetApp for Ibero-America since joining the company in 2021 .
Prior to joining NetApp , Petisco had a long career at Cisco , where he held various management positions in Sales , Marketing , and Business Development , both in Spain and Europe , for 19 years . His extensive experience also includes positions of responsibility at companies such as 3Com , Alcatel , Ericsson , and Veritas .
In his new role , Petisco will oversee the implementation of NetApp ’ s global strategy in key regions for the company , focusing on digital transformation and the adoption of new platforms with intelligent data infrastructures for private and public cloud environments . He will work closely with the organisation ’ s customers and partners to drive growth , profitability , and digitalisation of businesses .

Elm signs MoU with Sénégal Numérique to set up digital archiving centre

Elm , a digital solutions provider , signed an

MoU with Sénégal Numérique . Through the MoU , both parties will leverage their combined capabilities to foster bilateral collaboration in targeted markets .
The MoU , signed by Al-Ameen Al-Hazmi , Chief Integrated Solutions Officer at Elm , and Cheikh Bakhoum , Director General of the Sénégal Numérique , outlines Elm ’ s collaboration with Sénégal Numérique in creating and operating a digital archiving centre . They will also seek financial partners to fund the project and develop the IT infrastructure to benefit government agencies in Senegal .
Furthermore , the agreement includes provisions under which the two parties can agree to explore additional cooperation opportunities during its validity period . The latest MoU aligns with Elm ’ s vision to effectively empower local companies and accelerate digital transformation .
