ICT sector in Egypt . The new Egypt will possess a competitive , balanced and diversified economy , dependent on innovation and knowledge and based on justice , social integrity and participation . It will be characterised by a balanced and diversified ecological collaboration system , investing the ingenuity of place and humans to achieve sustainable development and to improve Egyptians ’ life quality .

The ICT industry is the fastest-growing sector in Egypt . The sector hit new heights , recording a growth rate of about 17 %, outpacing all the state ’ s economic sectors during the fiscal year 2021 – 2022 . The ICT industry ’ s contribution to Egypt ’ s GDP reached 5 % in 2021 – 2022 with a domestic product estimated at around EGP 150 billion .

Digital Egypt

Digital Egypt is an all-encompassing vision and plan , which lays the foundations for the transformation of Egypt into a digital society . Digital Egypt strategy is built on three main planks , including Digital Transformation , Digital Skills and Jobs and Digital Innovation . These three pillars are standing on two extremely important bases :

Its primary objective is to lead the transition from traditional paper based transactions to seamlessly integrated digital solutions , enhancing overall efficiency and accessibility in public service delivery . In 2023 , the platform witnessed a significant surge in user registrations , reaching approximately eight million citizens .

This user base conducted a remarkable 45 million service transactions , reflecting substantial growth
