DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO
Raxio Group inaugurated its state-of-the-art data centre in Kinshasa , DRC marking the country ’ s largest data centre , with Tier III accreditation . Known as Raxio DRC1 , the facility is backed by a $ 30 million investment . Located in Limete on the southeast of Kinshasa , the two-storey Raxio Data Centre spans 1,542 square meters . Its modern design can house up to 400 racks and can reliably deliver 1.5MW of IT power to customer equipment .

Liquid Intelligent Technologies announced the launch of Microsoft Azure Stack in Uganda . This achievement is a significant milestone for Liquid Uganda as it can now enable local businesses to access cloud solutions that meet the local data regulatory requirements . By investing in the first Azure Stack hub in Uganda , Liquid is not only demonstrating its commitment to the country ’ s digital transformation but also actively supporting the Uganda Digital Transformation Roadmap .

This year ’ s challenge seeks to identify and support exceptional AgriTech entrepreneurs who are addressing critical agricultural challenges in West Africa . The MEST Africa Challenge 2024 is open to startups from key West African markets .

Data traffic across Angola Cables network has hit record peak of 18,448 Tbps . The increase in digital content consumption , rapid expansion of cloud computing , demand for high speed , low latency connectivity are just some of the factors that have led to the record levels of traffic . The recent cable faults experienced in parts of Africa and the Red Sea has resulted in large volumes of traffic being diverted to other cable networks .

Financial services provider , Efficient Group , is reaping the rewards of an infrastructure modernisation programme , made possible through a partnership with Braintree . Core to this move has been the consolidation of data from a multitude of financial services providers into one Efficient group database . An initial in-depth needs assessment and Microsoft Cybersecurity Assessment also revealed potential security vulnerabilities that required resolution . As a Microsoft Dynamics partner , Braintree facilitated the implementation of Azure .
