SENEGAL
Digital payments gateway Peach Payments has agreed to acquire West-African payment platform PayDunya. In the process, it enters mainland Francophone Africa for the first time. Dakar-based fintech PayDunya started operations in 2015, after Aziz Yérima cofounded PayDunya with fellow ESMT-Dakar students Youma Fall, Christian Palouki and Honoré Hounwanou, from Senegal, Togo and Côte d’ Ivoire, respectively.

Westcon-Comstor expanded its partnership with Vectra AI, through the launch of two key initiatives focused on the fastgrowing Managed Security Service Provider, MSSP and AWS Marketplace arenas. Westcon-Comstor and Vectra AI are launching a joint support and enablement programme targeting MSSPs with 24x7 Managed Security Operations Centres.

TANZANIA
Raxio Group, a Sub-Saharan African data centre platform, has signed an agreement for $ 100 million in financing from the International Finance Corporation. The company is developing a Sub-Saharan African regional data centre platform in countries including Ethiopia, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo, Côte d’ Ivoire, Tanzania, and Angola.

SOUTH AFRICA
Kaseya announced new data centre regional support in South Africa for Microsoft 365. Through this data centre, Kaseya also supports endpoint backup, with business continuity and disaster recovery to soon be offered. The move comes amidst increasing demand from South African customers and partners in the region. South African businesses must adhere to the Protection of Personal Information Act. The National Policy on Data and Cloud, also enforces stricter data security and data sovereignty controls.
