Cassava expands AI Factory with NVIDIA Nemotron Models

Cassava Technologies has announced the expansion of its

AI Factory capabilities with NVIDIA Nemotron open models, enabling enterprises and service providers to scale and innovate with artificial intelligence( AI) more efficiently and cost-effectively.
Cassava is deploying NVIDIA Nemotron models as a locally hosted, managed inference service through the Cassava AI Multi- Model Exchange( CAIMEx). By making open models available through APIs on its AI Factory, CAIMEx provides enterprises with greater flexibility to select the most suitable combination of models for their applications without having to build and manage their own model-serving infrastructure.
“ Expanding our AI Factory across our markets is about creating the capacity and economics needed for businesses to build and deploy AI solutions at scale. By bringing NVIDIA Nemotron into CAIMEx, improving the efficiency of every GPU cycle and introducing flexible token offerings, we are giving enterprises and service providers more choice in how they access and deliver these capabilities to their customers,” said Ahmed El Beheiry, Group Chief Technology & AI Officer, Cassava Technologies.
NVIDIA Nemotron brings advanced reasoning and tool-use capabilities to CAIMEx, enabling customers to develop AI agents capable of performing complex tasks and interacting with enterprise applications. Its open model weights, training data and development resources also provide developers with a customisable foundation for fine-tuning specialised AI agents to meet specific business requirements.
As organisations advance their AI adoption and deploy agents capable of performing longer-running tasks and accessing enterprise systems, security and governance become increasingly important.

Libya advances AIdriven oilfield strategy

Libya is developing a digital oilfield strategy centred on

Artificial Intelligence( AI), automation and enhanced communications infrastructure as the National Oil Corporation( NOC) works towards increasing crude oil production to two million barrels per day( bpd).
The strategy has gained momentum in 2026, with the Ministry of Oil and Gas launching its New Energy Tech initiative to connect operational challenges in the oil and gas sector with Libyan engineers, AI specialists, software developers, robotics teams, researchers and startups capable of developing and testing local technology solutions.
These developments will form part of the broader technology and investment agenda at the Libya Energy & Economic Summit( LEES) 2027, scheduled to take place in Tripoli from 23 to 25 January. The event will bring together operators and investors to examine the technical capabilities required to support Libya’ s next phase of oil production.
The New Energy Tech initiative aims to move digitalisation beyond technology procurement towards developing solutions tailored to Libya’ s operating conditions.
Under the programme, energy companies identify specific operational challenges, while participants develop prototypes that can subsequently be linked to companies for practical deployment.
The initiative focuses on improving operational efficiency, reducing costs and emissions and strengthening decisionmaking across the energy sector.
It also supports Libya’ s broader efforts to develop domestic technical capabilities as the country modernises its oil industry.
Participants include university students, academics, experienced engineers, software developers and AI specialists, helping establish stronger links between Libya’ s technology community and its energy sector.
