wWhat would you describe as your most memorable achievement ?

From a personal point of view , getting married to my wife , Nicola , and having two wonderful kids ( Hugo and Amelie ). From a business point of view , being number one in South Africa with two different brands .
What first made you think of a career in technology ?
I have always been amazed by computers . As a kid for the fun , I had playing with them , to when I started working and seeing them evolve into such a powerful tool . As soon as the opportunity to work in the PC industry presented itself , I jumped in and never looked back .
What style of management philosophy do you employ with your current position ?
I am an influencer . I like to make things happen and bring people along with me . I don ’ t micromanage preferring rather to set boundaries and clear targets – the way the team gets there is up to them .
What do you think is the current hot technology talking point ?
With the advance of cloud services and the connect anywhere anytime , security is going to be hot topic for a while .
How do you deal with stress and unwind outside the office ?
I tend to use relativism a lot . Jokes aside , I have a very good work life balance . It helps me unwind . I love to spend time with my wife discussing our holiday plans and our never-ending landscaping projects . I play pool
Deployment of networks in some SADC countries , budget and affordability , IT training and skills development remain challenges in this region .
