dDescribe your current job role and a summary of the business model of your organisation ?
As CEO of the Argility Technology Group , within the Smollan Data and Tech cluster , my role is to remove obstacles , create opportunities for business growth and ensure that our team is thriving . As an organisation , the aim is to be an extension of our customers ’ businesses , and to drive their success through technology solutions . The desire is for long standing , trusted and mutually beneficial partnerships with the goal of achieving positive impacts through our technology solutions .
What are your strengths and abilities that you bring to the above role ?
I like to lead by example , never expecting my team to do what I would not . I strive for excellence , collaboration and continuous learning . Years of being in development , project management and people roles has given me the foundations to lead a technology team of diverse individuals .
I aim for a leadership style that I would personally appreciate , which is one of trust , accountability , mutual respect , teamwork and valuing of individual strengths . I am comfortable with not being the smartest person in the room and feel that if I can connect people to each other and their purpose , whilst reaching for the stars , then I have had influence .
Please describe the expectations of the end customers that you address . What are their pain points today ?
Customers are seasoned professionals in their verticals , and they are looking to partner with a team who can provide guidance and solutions to their challenges . In this day and age , the right technology solutions , an understanding of their businesses and unwavering service levels from their partners is what will give customers competitive advantage .
